S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, which had been procured by Ukraine from the EU, claims to have destroyed the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to a statement, Russian Kalibr missiles fired from the sea destroyed four S-300 launchers hidden in a hangar on the outskirts of Dnipro.
Russia’s Defense Ministry did not disclose which European country had supplied S-300 systems, but noted that 25 Ukrainian soldiers were hit in the attack.
In a statement, the ministry said two ammunition depots had been destroyed near Nikolaev and Zotneve and two Ukrainian Su-25 fighter jets had been shot down in the town of Izium.
In addition, a Ukrainian military helicopter was shot down in a village in Kherson, and high-precision missiles destroyed a military equipment repair depot in Velyka Novoselovka.
