A ring, which the distant 1993 o Tayyip Erdogan described as his “only property”, the opposition in Turkey used to launch a fierce attack on the Turkish president for poverty of the people and his own, luxurious life.
Erdogan, then candidate for mayor of Istanbulshowed the said ring saying that it was given to him by a lady and that it is his only property.
“A lady sent me this ring with a note: ” Mr President, let this ring be your support, the reference point of the elections. “Can this love and affection be surpassed by the billions of big groups?” Erdogan had said at the time.
The president of the opposition “Good Party”, Meral Aksener, addressed the woman who then presented her ring to the Turkish president asking her if she sees what Erdogan is doing now. He accuses him of not being aware of the situation when he urges young people who do not have even ten pounds in their pocket to travel the world, that he wears expensive watches but even that…. drinks smoothies.
“You who helped with your ring (Erdogan), do you know the condition of the person who gave it? What is he doing; The one who has your ring, do you know where he is and what he is doing now? The one who has this ring recommends young people who do not have ten pounds to drink aromatic coffee.
