Negotiations between Moscow and Kiev aimed at resolving the conflict, “Are in a quagmire”said today the head of the Russian diplomacy Sergei Lavrov, as the talks have not led to no clear progress.
“They are in backwater“As a proposal we submitted to the Ukrainian negotiators five days ago and which was formulated taking into account their comments remains unanswered,” Lavrov said during a press conference in Moscow with his Kazakh counterpart Mukhtar Tleburdi.
The Russian Foreign Minister also said that he had doubts about the willingness of the Ukrainian leadership to continue these negotiations.
“It’s very strange for me to hear statements (…) every day, including from the President of Ukraine and his advisers, that give the impression that they do not need these negotiations at all,” Lavrov said, without elaborating.
Russian and Ukrainian negotiators held talks today, according to the head of the Moscow delegation.
