A message of unity and reconciliation was sent by the Archbishop of America Elpidoforos, fulfilling his wishes for the celebration of Easter.
The day of the Resurrection, as he said, “is the day when the sun of justice and healing will rise in its wings”.
He also called on the faithful to keep the Holy Light which signals hope and optimism for the future: “Keep the Light deep in your hearts, let it burn in your soul and radiate love to all around you … let it shine all over the world groaning in the darkness of anguish for the future. “You will see that the lost hope will be reborn in the hearts of the people for a more optimistic future, which is illuminated by the wisdom and the word of God,” he said.
And he went on to say: “Let the light of the risen Christ be transmitted to all, where there is war to wish for peace, where there is pain to practice charity, where there is strife to work for friendship, where there is sorrow let us bring the joy of the Resurrection”
“The resurrection of Christ is the beginning of every miracle in our lives,” he said and wished everyone a resurrected Christ.
