Macron united after the victory: Thank you for voting for me as a barrier in the Far Right – I am the president of all

by

The winner of the French elections, Emanuel Macron, accompanied by his wife, Brigitte, arrived at the Eiffel Tower, accompanied by the European national anthem, the “Ode to Joy”.

A gathered crowd waited for the winner of the elections to reach Pedio tou Areos, to address his first message after his strong victory over Lepen.

“Thank you my friends, my compatriots, here in Paris and everywhere in France. Before anything else thank you. After five years of difficult transformation and exceptional, today a majority made the choice to show confidence in me for the next five years.

I want to thank everyone. I will do what you have to do, thank you. France will become a great ecological nation.

Many of you voted for me as a barrier to the far right. Thank you all and I tell you that this vote motivates me.

I also think of our compatriots who abstained. Their silence meant a denial of choice and we must think about it and give answers for them as well.

I also think of those who voted for Mrs Lepen and I understand their frustration. I do not want you to congratulate them. I want to be the president of everyone, not the candidate of a camp. I know that for our compatriots who voted for the far right, their anger pushed them to vote for this program and it is also my responsibility and that of my staff. Today’s vote requires us to face all difficulties and respond to all expressions of anger.

We have a democratic, social, work-based plan, a plan to unleash our business and cultural potential, a plan that I want to carry out over the next five years and respond to divisions and differences by continuing for a more just society for men. – women.

That’s why we need to be ambitious and demanding because we have a lot to do. It is also the war in Ukraine that reminds us that we are living in a tragic time. France must show its strength.

Today’s vote requires us to think about all the difficulties we have experienced and to respond to this anger.

We must all unite together, only then will we live happier in France. The next years will not be quiet, they will be historic years and together we will write the history of our generation “he said and concluded by saying that from today he is no longer a candidate, but he will be the president of all the French.
