The British government estimates that Russia has lost about 15,000 troops since its forces invaded Ukraine on February 24, Ben Wallace, the Tory government’s defense minister, told the House of Commons on Monday.
According to sources quoted by the British Minister of Defense, more than 2,000 armored vehicles have been destroyed or fallen into the hands of the Ukrainian forces, among them at least 530 tanks. According to Ben Wallace, Russia has also lost more than 60 fighter jets and helicopters.

The government in Kyiv claims even higher Russian casualties, claiming that 22,000 Russian soldiers have been killed, that 181 fighter jets and 154 helicopters have been shot down, and that 884 tanks and 2,258 other armored vehicles have been destroyed.
