The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Justice of the United Kingdom, Dominique Raab, defended Undersecretary of Defense James Hippie, who on Tuesday provoked a reaction from Moscow, said that the use of Western weapons by the Ukrainians to hit the supply lines of the invader on Russian soil is “legitimate”.
THE Russia reacted with a statement which in essence warned of attacks against the British diplomatic mission, which as previously announced by Boris Johnson returns within days to Kyiv.
Speaking to Sky News in the morning, Mr. Raab He said: “The Russian statement is illegal and what we are doing is legal. “International law is very clear about that.”
“We have the right, all states have the right, to provide military support to any state that exercises its right of legal defense against an aggressive invasion. “And frankly, if Russia starts threatening other countries, then it only adds further to the status quo it has and it will only increase the solidarity and consensus of the international community that it should be stopped,” he added.
Criticism against Moscow The shadowy Justice Minister Steve Reed also spoke on behalf of the main opposition Labor Party, saying it was not the first time the Russian leadership had attempted to intimidate.
In this case, Mr. Reed said, he is doing it because he failed in the initial attempt to advance in Ukraine and overthrow the Kiev government.
