In the phase of upgrading the political formations that will take part in June parliamentary elections France has entered, while at the same time consultations are intensifying on the form and content that these formations will have.
As announced today, during a press conference of representatives of the parties of the so-called presidential majority, Emanuel Macron’s party “Forward France” will no longer have the “character of a movement” but party and will be called “Renaissance”. The election, however, will be called “Together”, a federal alliance of parties and movements, whose central body will be the “Renaissance” and Macron will be the central reference.
This development follows similar developments in their field parties of the left which more or less decided to run together in the parliamentary elections in a political alliance of a federal nature under the name “New People’s Union for Society, Ecology and Solidarity”. Central trunk will be here the “Unruly France” by Jean-Luc Melanson who will be the main reference person in the election campaign.
The confederal character of the political formations is largely due to the variety of “political nuances” they ally with, but also to the desire of the parties of each faction to have their own parliamentary group in the new French National Assembly, thus ensuring political recognition, but also financial aid.
The “Pluralistic characteristics” that the new French National Assembly will have however, they raise concerns among French analysts about the degree of post-election cohesion of both Macron and Melanson. For now, of course, everyone swears allegiance and loyalty to the leader of their faction.
Finally, with regard to the third pole of French political life, the pole of the far right, there is currently no mobility, especially on the part of Marine Le Pen.
