Castex’s resignation was expected after Macron’s re-election.

In a tweet, Emanuel Macron thanked Jean Castex and his government. “For almost two years, he acted with passion and dedication to the service of France. “We are proud of the work that has been done and the results that have been achieved,” Macron wrote.
