Nine civilians were killed today in Russian attacks on its periphery Donetskin eastern Ukraine, announced the governor of the region.

A shell hit an ammonium nitrate depot in Kharkov
A warehouse in which quantities were stored ammonium nitrate was hit by a Russian blow in the Kharkiv region of northeastern Ukraine, local authorities said.
“The explosion in the Kharkiv region is not a threat to the population,” the governor of the neighboring Donetsk province told the Telegram. The post was accompanied by a photo showing an impressive orange cloud rising over fields.
“A Russian shell hit a warehouse in the Kharkiv region where, according to initial reports, there was ammonium nitrate,” the governor said. “The cloud may be scary, but there is no need to panic,” he added.
Ammonium nitrate, a substance that was responsible for the catastrophic explosions that leveled the port of Beirut in August 2020, is mainly used as a nitrogen fertilizer but also for the manufacture of explosives.
Ukraine said earlier that its forces had repelled Russian troops in the Kharkiv region. and regained control of part of the border with Russia.
