As of April 30, 13,147 electronic pre-registration applications for temporary protection had been submitted to Ukrainians, while 8,880 temporary protection license cards had been issued. 56% of the pre-registration applications were submitted to the Regional Asylum Office (PGA) of Attica, 29% to the PGA of Thessaloniki, 6% to the PGA of Western Greece, 6% to the PGA of Crete and 3% to the PGA of Alimos.

On April 30, 2022 no Ukrainian lived in the short-term hospitality structure of Sintikiwhile in the structures of long-term hospitality were registered 164 people from Ukraine in Serres, 133 in Elefsina and five in apartments of the ESTIA program.

In total in April 2022 917,281 immigrants and refugees were legally residing in Greeceof which 24% were EU citizens and expatriates, 70% third country nationals with a residence permit and 6% refugees with active residence permits.

Finally, last month 4,699 first-degree asylum decisions were issuedof which 45% were positive, 19% rejected, 12% decisions inadmissible (due to the application of the safe third country principle or due to acceptance by another Member State or for subsequent applications), while 23% were other administrative acts (interruptions that have not been revoked, resignations and cases that have been closed).

The pending cases of the Asylum Service and the secondary Appeals Authority record a decrease of 52% in April 2022 compared to a year earlier.
