Panel SA: Ambev hires lawyer to help trans employees with name change

by

Ambev hired a specialized lawyer to help its trans and transvestite employees correct their names in official documents.

The initiative is part of the project “Call me by my name (and pronoun too)” and will serve all employees who request the change free of charge.

Today, Ambev has more than one hundred trans employees.

The campaign produced a guide to support these workers during their journey at the company.

There will also be a donation to Casa Neon Cunha, an NGO that serves LGBTQIA+ people, so that other trans people from outside the company and in vulnerability can have the name change process facilitated.
