As of this Tuesday (23), most Caixa Econômica Federal agencies in Brazil will return to their regular hours, between 10 am and 4 pm. During the months in which the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic was more serious in the country, the service stations came to operate from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, with part of the time dedicated exclusively to the elderly.
Caixa informs that the determination for the return of the agencies’ operation in the pre-pandemic time is national. However, the bank says it will comply with local laws that require the banking network to operate at different times.
In Greater São Paulo, branches in most of the 39 cities will be open between 10 am and 4 pm. Another 15 municipalities in the metropolitan region will continue with different hours. Of these cities, 11 will be open from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and four will receive customers from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. In both cases, therefore, the service remains reduced by one hour.
