The minister accused SYRIZA of a lack of seriousness in the party, characteristically saying “to pull out the plug”
6% of the pending pensions from 2016 from now until today, as he stated speaking to SKAI and in the show “Mismatches”, the Minister of Labour, Kostis Hatzidakis.
There are around 60,000 outstanding pensions, the minister emphasized. “For 2018 and before, we are completely closed, for 2019, 1% remains, for 20, 5% and for 21, 81% of the pensions have been awarded. Within 22 until March, 70% have been awarded,” said K. Hatzidakis.
Pensions are now issued within 2-3 months, he said while adding that in the coming months they will run faster. “There is a very large increase in the awarding of pensions: 83% increase in 21 compared to 19 while in the first 6 months of 22 more pensions came out than in 19, in total”.
Speaking about the digital room, he focused on facilitating communication between the pensioner and the EFKA: Thanks to this, the pending pensioners can now communicate directly with the EFKA. It’s a revolution. From the 20th onwards, all those who submit their papers for pension do so electronically. EFKA has 95% of the e-mail addresses of pending pensioners. And it can find the rest with a targeted search. Even EFKA itself can send an email asking for a missing item. The pensioner can also see what stage his pension is at.
For digital job card he explained that the “bell” will be heavy for employers, who violate the law, with a fine of up to 10,000 euros. He added that the complaint to carry out an inspection can also be made anonymously.
Finally, the minister severely criticized SYRIZA: “SYRIZA follows an incredible tactic, it thinks that the people owe it and that it would stay in power forever. People want seriousness and with everything they are doing they show that there is a lack of seriousness in the party. I’d say pull the plug”
