Seeb-MA (Maranhão Bank Employees Union) and the Santo Dias Human Rights Center, linked to the Archdiocese of São Paulo, represented by the Márlon Reis office, filed a lawsuit seeking compensation for collective moral damage of R$ 100 million from Caixa Econômica Federal after the allegations of moral and sexual harassment that led to the departure of Pedro Guimarães from the presidency of the bank.
According to the entities, the resource will revert to the FNDD (National Fund for Diffuse Rights).
The objective is to compel Caixa to carry out a thorough review of the internal mechanisms for reporting, preventing and repressing moral and sexual harassment, says lawyer Márlon Reis.
