myEFKAlive further expands its operation in mainland Greece

The goal is for myEFKAlive to gradually expand throughout the Territory and by the end of the year to be completed with the inclusion of the regions of Attica and the Republic of Macedonia

The Ministries of Digital Governance and Labor & Social Affairs are proceeding with the geographical expansion of myEFKAlive. Specifically, the possibility to serve the citizen by an employee of e-EFKA via video call is expanded with the inclusion in the system of the regions of W. Macedonia and the rest of the regions of Thessaly and Eastern Macedonia & Thrace. Thus, after the launch of the 6th Phase, all the Regional Coordination and Support Services of the e-EFKA North Aegean, South Aegean, Epirus & Corfu, Western Greece, Zakynthos, Kefallinia & Lefkada, Peloponnese and Crete, Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, Thessaly, Western Macedonia, as well as some areas of the Region of Central Greece.

The goal is gradually myEFKAlive to be extended throughout the Territory and by the end of the year to be completed with the integration of its regions Attica and K. Macedonia.

It is recalled that myEFKAlive is the result of the cooperation of executives of e-EFKA, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the General Secretariat of Public Administration Information Systems, of the Ministry of Digital Governance, which has developed this platform for other public agencies and organizations. It was put into operation in July 2021 and is gradually expanding throughout the territory with priority in remote areas. Through this service, citizens, and especially residents of mountainous, island or remote areas as well as people with disabilities, are given the opportunity to be served by video call, from their home or office, without the need to move to a branch of e- EFKA.

The digital services provided through the above platform and significantly facilitate citizens’ transactions with e-EFKA amount to sixteen (16) and are as follows:
• Illness allowance
• Maternity allowance
• Online Application for Funeral Expenses (pensioners and employees, IKA)
• Insurance certificate (Insurance period – Previous experience)
• Change of Registry details
• Insurance Capacity
• Receipt of KEPA Decision
• Inventory of the Insured
• Issuance of a European Insurance Card
• Census Certificate
• Request a monthly editorial newsletter
• Monitoring the progress of the retirement application
• Certificate of registration for self-employed persons
• Certificate of insurance period for the self-employed
• Processing a request for insurance time in case of loss of documents (for IKA insured persons)
• Processing a request for the issuance of a Census of Farmers

Access to the service is easy and simple and can be done either through the website of EFKA (efka.gov.gr) or the Unified Digital Portal of Public Administration (gov.gr). Citizens enter the service using their personal Taxisnet codes and can book their appointment on a day and time that suits them, from their home or office computer or even from their mobile phone. On the day of the appointment, the interested party connects via video call with an EFKA employee in order to submit applications for certificates, benefits or to be informed about a pension or insurance issue.
