In the meantime, an unpleasant surprise awaits those who wish to receive – even this little – of his money fuel pass 2but have not yet submitted their tax return. With summary procedures the system will throw them out, as the submission of the E1 is a condition to be considered a beneficiary.

The income criteria that have been set concern last year’s income and limit has been set at 30,000 euros per person. It is increased by 3,000 euros for the spouse or the other member of the cohabitation agreement, so the income ceiling for the couple is 33,000 euros. The amount increases by 3,000 euros for each child up to the maximum amount of 45,000 euros – i.e. a couple with 4 children.

The data so far from the AADE show that approx 1 million taxpayers have not yet submitted their returns. Those of them who are owners of I.X. or machines cannot – yet – receive money but they have 29 more days – until August 30 – to….sort out the double issue.

Based on the processing of the data so far:

-52.2% of the declarations, i.e. 2,853,523 are zero.

– 13.6%, i.e. 743,447 declarations have a tax refund totaling €298.5 million. The average refund amounts to €401.5 and is increased by almost 44% compared to the corresponding amount in 2021, which was €279.

-Debits – i.e. the payment of additional amounts beyond the monthly reservations is required – there are 1,869,550 statements and correspond to 34.2% of the total. The Total tax to be paid is €2.25 billion. The average tax amounts to €1,203, 24.5% higher than last year, which was €966.

Step by step the process

As far as the process is concerned, it is the same as the one followed in the first phase of the Fuel Pass. Analytically:

1. The beneficiary enters the online platform https://vouchers.gov.gr/ with the Taxisnet codes.

2. After entering the application, the applicant completes and updates his contact information so that it is valid and, in particular, his email address and mobile phone number.

3. He chooses whether he wishes to issue a voucher or deposit into a bank account by filling in the iban for which he wants the amount credited.

4. After the completion of the application and once his status as a beneficiary has been verified, the Information Society transmits an approval decision to the bank.

5. Next, the bank informs the beneficiary of the procedure to be followed in order to activate the card and credit the amount of money, by sending: a) a text message (sms) to the mobile phone number that the beneficiary has declared in the special application, with integrated instructions and b) an e-mail message (e-mail) to the e-mail address stated by the beneficiary in the special application with an integrated link to activate the digital debit card. After entering the above link, the beneficiary creates a personal access code (password) and

receives a confirmation code, with a new text message (sms), in order to activate his digital debit card, to which the fuel subsidy amount is credited.

6. The amount of money credited to the debit card can be used exclusively by the beneficiary to purchase fuel and it is not possible to transfer it to a third party or withdraw
