The first phase of the program, which aims to certify Brazilian companies with good employee health care policies, is already being carried out in 60 companies. Together, they have 212,800 employees.
The Healthy Company (PES) program was officially launched by the Brazilian Association of Human Resources (ABRH-Brasil) on the 23rd during the Conarh Saúde (HR congress focused on the subject).
The seal was even presented to companies in 2019, but the definition of parameters and the participation of public entities and bodies was interrupted by the pandemic.
According to Paulo Sardinha, president of ABRH-Brasil, the seal’s ambition is also to reach small companies, where human resource managers face more difficulties.
“We want the program to improve not only corporate health, but also the environment, reaching families.”
The evaluation of companies interested in receiving certification is carried out for almost a year. Sardinha says companies can start from scratch. “She can enter the program without any practice and over the course of a year we will guide her.”
The program phases provide for the creation of a health policy, a strategic plan for the sector, the development and adoption of indicators and the evaluation of results.
In the development of indicators, companies must receive guidance ranging from choosing the best medical insurance to defining a plan to offer healthy food inside and outside the company.
