Panel SA: Demand for car armor continues to rise in Brazil

The automotive armoring market remains heated this year, with an increase of 6% in the accumulated until September compared to the same range of 2021.

According to Abrablin (Brazilian Armoring Association), almost 16,000 cars were armored in 2022.

The highest volumes of armor appear in São Paulo, with 10,578 vehicles, Rio de Janeiro (1,693), Minas Gerais (741), Rio Grande do Sul (678) and Ceará (457).

Last year, more than 20,000 vehicles underwent some sort of shielding process, a record number in the sector. In total, Abrablin estimates at least 300,000 cars with protection in Brazil.
