Panel SA: Bolsonaro donor company plans to cut business with supplier if Lula wins

After the result of the 1st round showed Lula with 48% ahead of Bolsonaro, with 43%, the company Stara Indústria de Implementos Agrícolas, from Rio Grande do Sul, sent a statement to suppliers saying that it will cut business if the PT wins in the 2nd shift.

Unions in the region filed a complaint with the Public Ministry of Labor, and the company manifested itself after the repercussion of the case on social networks.

In a video released this Tuesday (4), the president of Stara, Átila Trennepohl, said that the letter to suppliers that circulates on social media points only to a review of the company’s projections.

“We plan to grow above 30% in this August period and, due to all the economic stability we are experiencing, we are redoing the projection for 2023, which is absolutely natural within companies,” said the executive in the video.

“Given the current political instability and possible change in economic guidelines in Brazil after the previous results of the election that took place on October 2nd and, if this same result is maintained in the 2nd round, the company should reduce its budget base for next year in at least 30%, consequently which will affect our purchasing power and production, triggering a significant drop in our numbers”, says the republished text by union leaders on the internet.

Among Stara’s partners, Gilson Lari Trennepohl donated R$1 million in total in this year’s election, with R$350,000 to Bolsonaro’s campaign, R$300,000 to Onyx Lorenzoni (PL-RS), R$50,000 for the campaigns of the deputies elected to the Chamber of Deputies Giovani Cherini (PL), Pedro Bandarra Westphalen (PP), Ubiratan Sanderson (PL) and Osmar Terra (MDB), in addition to R$ 25 thousand for Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), contesting the 2nd round for the government of São Paulo. Altogether 11 candidates received resources from Gilson Trennepohl.

Susana Stapelbroek Trennepohl, also a Stara partner, donated R$100,000 to the Onyx Lorenzoni (PL-RS) campaign.

Gilson Trennepohl is deputy mayor of the municipality of Não-MeToque (RS). His declaration of assets, at the time of the candidacy, indicated more than R$ 163 million.
