The teleconference of the Minister of Development and Investments, Ad. Georgiadis and Deputy Minister N. Papathanasis with the Board of Directors of the Association of Greek Food Industries (SEBT) for the “household basket”.

After the meeting, the Minister of Development & Investments, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis stated:
“The Ministry of Development and Investments has asked the food industry to participate in the effort for the “household basket” in a constructive way so as to “build” a basket of products that will be offered to the Greek consumer at the lowest possible prices, below inflation.
The Association accepted the proposal of the Ministry, committed to inform its members and to work constructively with the supermarket chains, so that the household basket is successful and significantly helps the living of the Greek household in these unprecedentedly difficult conditions.
The Government will certainly continue the initiatives throughout the market to achieve the best possible prices for the Greek consumer”.
It is noted that the teleconference was recorded and minutes were kept so that it is absolutely safe to observe the competition rules.
