Electricity subsidies for November: At 238 euros/megawatt hour, Skrekas announced

The Minister of Energy announced the new subsidies on electricity consumption tariffs Kostas Skrekas.

The subsidy applies to all main and non-main residence benefits, without income criteria and regardless of provider.

For November, it applies to all main and non-main residence benefits without income criteria and regardless of providers:

  • up to 500 kilowatt hours will be 238 euros per megawatt hour and absorbs 90% of the increase
  • from 501 to 1,000 kilowatt hours the subsidy is 188 euros per megawatt hour. If a household reduces consumption by 15% compared to 2021 the subsidy increases by 50 euros per megawatt hour
  • for over 1000 kilowatt hours the subsidy is 50 euros per megawatt hour

At 286 euros per megawatt hour, the subsidy for households included in the Social Household Tariff and up to 100% of the increase is absorbed.

DEPA will give a subsidy of 25 euros per thermal megawatt hour for all residential consumers and concerns 700,000 consumers regardless of income and providers.
