More than 900 million euros as an injection of liquidity to the market, the government is preparing to inject in December.

The beginning is made with the first tranche of heating oil, the total amount of which has increased to 300 million euros. Most of this will be paid in the first installment which is scheduled for December 21st for purchases invoiced by November 30th. The old beneficiaries will be able to receive as an advance the allowance they received last year and as the Ministry of Finance has clarified, an offset will follow with the subsequent payments of the allowance.

2 more installments will follow:

Until February 28, 2023 for all purchases to be invoiced by January 31, 2023 and provided the required information is entered by February 15, 2023.

Until April 28, 2023 for all purchases to be invoiced by March 31, 2023 and provided the required information is entered by April 15, 2023.

The week before Christmas – the day will be determined by the payment institution – the €250 accuracy check will be given with a total fund of almost €500m. Beneficiaries: approximately 1 million low-income pensioners with monthly earnings of up to €800, uninsured elderly, beneficiaries of the Minimum Guaranteed Income, beneficiaries of disability benefits, long-term unemployed but beneficiaries of OPECA child benefit.

Millions of civil servants and pensioners of the State who will be paid in December salaries and January pensions will receive increased amounts due to the abolition of the solidarity levy. The measure concerns those with an annual income of more than €12,000

All civil servants without exception they will also benefit from the abolition of the 1% levy in favor of the Civil Servants Welfare Fund. In addition, old pensioners with more than 30 years of insurance will see in their December pensions also the 4th installment of the recalculation of their pensions based on the Vroutsis law.

Of course, OPECA’s regular benefits will also be paid, such as disability benefits, housing benefits, Housing Benefit, the social solidarity benefit for uninsured seniors and the seniors’ pension and the Minimum Guaranteed Income as well as nutritional aids.
