Vice-President-elect Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) announced this Thursday (10) former minister Guido Mantega (Farm) as a member of the technical group responsible for planning, budgeting and management in the transition team.
The announcement was made in the auditorium of the CCBB (Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil), where the transitional government is located.
On Tuesday (8), Alckmin signed the ordinance that established the government’s transition office, listing the 31 thematic technical groups. On the occasion, the vice-elect confirmed the coordinators of the technical economic group: Persio Arida, André Lara Resende, Nelson Barbosa and Guilherme Mello.
Members of the team that implemented the Real Plan, Arida and Lara Resende are economists with experience in the market and a liberal background, although the latter’s ideas have provoked reactions among colleagues in recent years. Barbosa and Mello, in turn, are two names linked to the party and defend the relaxation of certain rules, such as the spending cap, to meet social demands.
The MDB will have seats in three coordinations in the transition of government. Simone Tebet, who was a presidential candidate in the first round and actively participated in the PT campaign in the second, will receive Social Assistance.
The president of the acronym, Baleia Rossi (SP), also announced the appointment of senators Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL) and Jader Barbalho (MDB-PA) to the Political Council for the Transition.
In addition to them, former governor of Rio Grande do Sul Germano Rigotto (MDB) will work in the area of ​​industry and commerce. He coordinated the Tebet government plan.
In the area of ​​culture, three names were appointed to coordinate: actress Lucélia Santos, former Minister of Culture Juca Ferreira and PT’s National Secretary of Culture Márcio Tavares.

The group should report to former minister Aloizio Mercadante, responsible for preparing Lula’s government program and technical coordinator of the president-elect’s transition team.
Juca Ferreira was Minister of Culture in the Lula and Dilma Rousseff governments. Lucélia Santos, in addition to acting, was a PSB candidate for federal deputy for Rio de Janeiro for the PSB. Márcio Tavares is one of the coordinators of the culture program of the Lula and Geraldo Alckmin ticket, winner of the elections.
Health will be with four former ministers of the PT governments, Humberto Costa, José Gomes Temporão, Alexandre Padilha and Arthur Chioro. Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP) said, this Thursday (10), that he will be coordinating Regional Development. With him will also be governors Helder Barbalho (MDB-PA), reelected, Camilo Santana (PT-CE), elected to the Senate, and senator Otto Alencar (PSD-BA).
