Tomorrow the emergency financial support of 250 euros for low pensioners, disabled and uninsured seniors

The payment of the main and auxiliary pensions in January and payment of the extraordinary financial aid of 250 euros to low-pensioners, disabled and uninsured seniorsincludes, among others, the scheduling of payments from e-EFKA, the Public Employment Service (DYPA), the Organization of Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA) and the services of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, for the week of December 19-23 2022.

In total they will be paid over 2.9 billion euros to at least 5 million beneficiaries.

In particular, as stated in an announcement by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs:

1. The e-EFKA will make the following payments, as part of the organization’s regular payments:

– On Wednesday, December 21, an amount of 583.5 million euros will be paid to 946,045 beneficiaries for the main and auxiliary January pensions of retirees from the former entities OAEE, OGA, NAT, ETAA, ETAT, ETAP-MME and PPC.

– On Thursday, December 22, 775 million euros will be paid to 1,523,920 pensioners who come from the IKA-ETAM, the banks, the public and OTE, whose AMKA expires on 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.

– On Friday, December 23, an amount of 520 million euros will be paid to 1,527,420 pensioners who come from the IKA-ETAM, the banks, the public and OTE, whose AMKA that expires on 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8.

– On the same day (December 23), 6.6 million euros will be paid to 17,750 beneficiaries for advance payment of January pension, in the context of Law 4778/2021.

– Also, 23.3 million euros will be paid to 800 beneficiaries following the issuance of one-off decisions.

– 13 million euros will be paid to 37,740 beneficiaries as cash benefits.

Finally, in the context of of e-EFKA emergency payments, will be paid on Tuesday, December 20 the extraordinary financial aid of 250 euros to 947,560 vulnerable pensioners. The total fund for this payment amounts to 236.8 million euros.

2. During the same period, DYPA will make the following payments:

– 17 million euros to 42,000 beneficiaries for the payment of unemployment benefits and other benefits.

– 21 million euros to 5,000 beneficiaries under subsidized employment programs.

– 1 million euros to 4,000 mothers for subsidized maternity leave.

– 1 million euros to 2,000 beneficiaries for programs of a public interest nature.

In addition, the payment of the emergency financial allowance continues aid of 250 euros (a process that started last week with the opening of the DYPA platform for the submission of the necessary data) to non-subsidized long-term unemployed who have completed 12-24 months of continuous unemployment.

3. OPECA will make, on Tuesday, December 20, the following regular payments of welfare benefits for the current month:

– 155.3 million euros to 821,577 beneficiaries for family allowances for children.

– 71.5 million euros to 175,185 beneficiaries for disability benefits (disability and alimony).

– 47.7 million euros to 224,676 beneficiaries for Minimum Guaranteed Income.

– 33.8 million euros to 274,373 beneficiaries for housing allowance.

– 12.5 million euros to 35,305 beneficiaries for uninsured elderly benefits.

– 12.3 million euros to 12,291 beneficiaries for birth allowance.

– 247,694 euros to 817 beneficiaries for housing assistance allowance.

– 210,263 euros to 5,963 beneficiaries for expatriate allowance.

– 175,522 euros to 221 beneficiaries for funeral expenses of the uninsured.

Please note that on December 30th, regular December payments will be made for:

– State contribution to loans of the “GEFYRA” program, due to COVID-19 (121,530 euros to 730 beneficiaries).

– State contribution to loans in the context of primary residence protection (330,140 euros to 4,090 beneficiaries). On Tuesday, December 20, OPECA will pay the one-time emergency financial aid established for the disabled, uninsured elderly and beneficiaries of the Minimum Guaranteed Income and child benefit, as follows:

– 34.9 million euros will be paid to 139,893 beneficiaries of disability allowance as part of the increase of the relevant welfare benefit by 250 euros.

– 8.2 million euros will be paid to 32,895 beneficiaries of the uninsured elderly allowance, as part of the 250 euro increase in said benefit.

– 47.7 million euros will be paid to 224,938 beneficiaries of the Minimum Guaranteed Income as part of the payment of the double installment of this benefit for December.

– 118 million euros will be paid to 820,047 beneficiaries of family child benefit, as part of the one-off financial aid corresponding to one and a half additional monthly installments of child benefit. The amount of the aid amounts to 105 or 63 or 42 euros for each child for the first and second child, depending on the amount of income and to 210 or 126 or 84 euros for the third and each subsequent child. The extraordinary installment will be paid on Tuesday 20 December to the beneficiaries of the benefit during the fifth two months of 2022. It is noted that the aid will be paid to the other new beneficiaries of the child benefit of 2022, after the approval of their application.

4. Finally, by the central service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Wednesday, December 21the following payments:

– 1,461,236 euros to 36,626 beneficiaries-employees included in the “COOPERATION” Mechanism for 2022.

– 1,082,882 euros to 5,258 eligible workers-members of the new jobs program for the first recruitment of young people aged 18-29 “First Ensimo”.

– 846,068 euros to 6,428 beneficiaries (enterprises-employers) – included in the new jobs program for the first recruitment of young people, aged 18-29, “First Ensimo”.

– 425,128 euros to 2,429 businesses to subsidize new jobs (100,000+50,000 new jobs subsidy program).

– 239,124 euros to 501 beneficiaries of the special purpose compensation (534 euros), whose contracts were suspended in the fur sector for the month of November and to flood victims of Crete for the months of October and November.
