Indemnities for insurance that protect company directors and administrators skyrocketed last year, according to the sector’s 2022 balance sheet, which the CNSeg (National Confederation of Insurance Companies) releases this Friday (3).
Called D&O civil liability insurance, the modality covers the costs that executives are obliged to pay in the event of a lawsuit.
CNSeg member insurers disbursed around R$560 million last year to cover this type of insurance. The result represents more than triple that of 2021.
Still according to the entity, the demand for insurance also grew last year, with a collection of R$ 1.3 billion.
