Petrobras opens tender with 1,492 vacancies and starting salary of R$ 5,563.90

Petrobras announced this Thursday (9) the opening of a public tender to hire 373 new technical-level employees, in addition to opening 1,119 vacancies in the reserve register, with an initial salary of R$ 5,563.90.

Registration can be made between February 15th and March 17th and the fee to participate is R$ 62.79. The full tender notice can be accessed here. The exams will be held on April 30th.

The vacancies are for professionals in operation, maintenance, work safety, ballast operation, inspection of equipment and installations, supplies, transport and control logistics, occupational nursing, and projects, construction and assembly. Proof of previous professional experience is not required. Successful candidates, when invited, will be able to work in any area or unit, depending on Petrobras’ needs.

The competition reserves 8% of opportunities for people with disabilities, a value higher than the 5% provided for by law, and 20% for blacks, as established by law.

It is the first tender for hiring professionals by the state-owned company since 2018 and has the main objective of strengthening the work teams in the pre-salt fields, according to the company’s president, Jean Paul Prates.

Petrobras offers supplementary pension (optional), health plan (medical, hospital, dental, psychological and pharmacy benefit), in addition to educational benefits for dependents, among others.

The process, which will be organized by Cebraspe (Brazilian Center for Research in Evaluation and Selection of Event Promotion), will be valid for 12 months, and may be extended for another 12 months once, at the discretion of the state-owned company.

“With this selection process, Petrobras seeks to attract new talent with technical training to work, mainly, in the development of oil fields in the pre-salt”, said the executive, in a note distributed this Thursday.

“We are looking for professionals with an innovative profile, connected with the future, willing to put their hands to work to contribute to the company’s results.”

In a video distributed by the company, Prates said that the selection is “a great opportunity for people who were anxiously awaiting the opening of a new contest”.

In 2018, in its last contest, Petrobras opened 108 vacancies for professionals with higher and medium levels. The company had been making voluntary resignation plans to adapt its staff to a strategy of downsizing assets and focusing activities on the pre-salt layer.

In 2021, for example, 2,847 employees left the company and 90 were hired.

Petrobras warns of coup attempts and informs that it does not offer job vacancies or promises to register in a resume bank. According to the company, hiring employees by Petrobras is carried out exclusively through public selection processes. If you receive any such messages, delete them immediately.
