Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil start paying, this Wednesday (15), the PIS/Pasep 2023 allowance for workers born in January and February and civil servants whose final registration number is zero.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, 22.9 million are entitled to receive the allowance this year. In all, 20.4 million receive the PIS (Social Integration Program), paid to those who worked with a formal contract in the private sector, and 2.5 million will withdraw the Pasep (Program for Formation of the Assets of Public Servants), for those who has registration as a server. R$ 22 billion will be released.

Among the reasons for refusal are:

  • Not having the minimum number of days worked
  • The average salary above the required
  • First job in less than five years

Those who worked with a formal contract or worked as a public servant for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, in the base year of 2021 are entitled to the PIS/Pasep allowance. The average monthly remuneration must have been up to two minimum wages.

In addition, it is necessary to have been enrolled in the program for at least five years and the employer must have informed the data in the Rais (Annual List of Social Information).

How to consult the PIS/Pasep allowance

For workers born in January and February, consulting the benefit information is now available through Caixa or Banco do Brasil applications, in addition to the Citizen Portal. For the others, the query is made on the MTE website, through the Digital Work Card application or by calling 158.

  2. Click on “Most accessed services of gov.br”, on a line above. The subject is the middle

Know how to appeal if you do not receive the PIS/Pasep allowance

The worker who believes he is entitled to the allowance, but is not on the list of beneficiaries, may appeal to the Ministry of Labor and Employment. It is also possible to present the appeal if you disagree with the amount to be paid.

It will be necessary to fill in the document with the requested data. Enter CPF, full name, email, telephone, state where you live, subject and message. According to the MTE, in the subject, the worker must write “salary allowance”.

In the message, inform the reason for the dispute, whether you want to receive or disagree with the amount. Then click “Send”. The answer will come by email.

In a note, the ministry also informs that it is possible to obtain more information about the salary bonus in the service units of the Regional Superintendences of Labor and Employment in the municipalities. There is also the telephone number 158, for worker assistance.

HOW WILL THE BANK PAYMENT BE

The PIS/Pasep allowance is released according to the worker’s month of birth or the final registration number. From the release date, the worker has until December 28 of this year to withdraw. If you do not withdraw, the benefit is available for up to five years. Then it goes back to government coffers.

How to receive IN BOX

  • Those who have a checking or savings account at Caixa will automatically receive the credit in their bank account.
  • The other beneficiaries will receive the amounts through digital social savings, also according to the month of birth. The money deposited in the digital savings can be moved through the Caixa Tem app, which allows you to pay bills, use the QR Code at the machines and make purchases with the virtual debit card.
  • If it is not possible to open the digital account, withdrawals can be made using the Social Card and password at self-service terminals, lottery shops, Caixa Aqui correspondents or at Caixa branches.

  • Banco do Brasil customers who are entitled will receive it directly in their checking or savings account at BB, on the payment start date established in the calendar.
