Stock prices recorded a corrective retreat in today’s session Stock Exchangewith investors proceeding with liquidations to secure profits, after yesterday’s recording of new highs of 8.5 years.

However, the initial losses were significantly reduced, as defenses came out when the market retreated towards the levels of 1,100 points.

The General Price Index closed at 1,118.79 points, down 1.26%.

Intra-session recorded a lower price at 1,102.94 points (-2.66%).

The value of transactions amounted to 117.77 million euroswhile 43,479,491 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 1.24%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.51%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Jumbo (+3.23%), EYDAP (+0.43%) and Eurobank (+0.03%) recorded an increase.

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Piraeus (-4.01%), Motor Oil (-2.72%), Alpha Bank (-2.69%), PPC (-2.38%), of Ethniki (-2.18%) and Viohalco (-2.05%)

Of the individual indices, only the Personal Products index (+2.69%) recorded an increase, while the Oil (-2.48%), Banks (-1.87%) and Financial indices recorded the biggest losses Services (-1.85%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 11,354,217 and 7,926,553 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by National Bank with 16.36 million euros and Alpha Bank with 16.20 million euros.

21 stocks moved up, 82 down and 19 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Attica Bank +19.23% and Pairis +5.26%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Bitros -8.82% and Mathios Pyrimaha -5.42%.
