The joint decisions of the Ministers of Finance and Development and Investments have been published by which the myBusinessSupport platform is opened for three special support regimes, following a relevant recommendation by the Government Committee for State Aid.

In particular, its platform AADE accepts the submission of applications for the support of the olive mills that were indirectly affected by the fires of the summer of 2021 (decision 36972/2023, Official Gazette B’ 1427/09.03.2023), the fig processing, packaging, storage and marketing businesses of Northern Evia that were affected indirectly from the fires of 2021 (decision 36977/2023, Official Gazette B’ 1426/09.03.2023), as well as businesses that were indirectly affected by the frosts of the same year (decision 36952/2023, Official Gazette B’ 1427/09.03.2023) .

According to an announcement by the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, responsible for State Aid and Rehabilitation from Natural Disasters, and chairman of the Government Committee for State Aid, Christos Triandopoulos, regarding the first two regimes, the platform is being reactivated, so that expressions of interest can be submitted , and in a second stage, applications and supporting documents.

With reference to the aid scheme for businesses affected by the frosts of 2021, for the areas identified by ELGA, a second cycle begins, with the submission of an expression of interest, with updated inclusion criteria and taking into account the possible inclusion of businesses in the first aid cycle which was completed in 2022.

It is recalled that during the first phase of implementation, 31 beneficiaries were granted 1,081,781 euros through the support scheme for olive mills, in the prefectures of Arcadia, Achaia, Evia, Ilia, Laconia, Messinia, Fthiotida and Phocis, and through the support scheme for fig businesses in North In Evia, two beneficiaries were granted an amount of 51,086 euros, while through the first cycle of the support scheme for businesses indirectly affected by the frosts, 98 businesses were granted an amount of 6,450,390 euros, in the prefectures of Imathia, Kastoria, Kozani, Larissa, Pella and Florina.

In this context, Mr. Christos Triandopoulos stated: “The myBusinessSupport platform of the Independent Public Revenue Authority has opened for the special support regimes for olive mills that suffered financial losses from the summer fires of 2021, processing, packaging, storage and marketing of figs of North Evia that suffered financial losses from the fires of 2021 and businesses affected by the frosts of 2021, following a relevant recommendation by the Government Committee for State Aid and the publication of the joint decisions of the Ministers of Finance and Development and Investments. In particular, the myBusinessSupport platform is being reactivated for support schemes for olive fruit and fig processing businesses, so that it is possible to submit expressions of interest and – subsequently – applications and supporting documents, as it was found that during the first phase, the beneficiaries did not submit an application or submitted incomplete supporting documents, resulting in their exclusion. At the same time, a new aid scheme (second cycle) for businesses affected by the frosts of 2021 is being activated for the areas identified by ELGA, with updated inclusion criteria and taking into account the possible inclusion of businesses in the first aid cycle completed in 2022. It is recalled that so far, a total of 131 businesses have received support of 7.6 million euros, through all three special schemes. Therefore, we invite the beneficiaries to submit the applications and the required supporting documents, in order to receive the support they deserve. Thanks to the relevant Ministers for promoting all the necessary procedures to reactivate the special support schemes».
