Full of… control by AADE for 2023, since in its business plan, which was published in the government’s gazette, almost 180,000 checks are foreseen:

-25,500 audits by audit services (VAT, tax refunds, cases where state aid was received)
-49,500 on-site preventive checks in targeted geographical areas but also in targeted professional sectors that present an increased risk of fraud or tax evasion
-79,900 controls by customs and CTOs (Mobile control units)
-13,000 ex-post checks by customs
-10,000 with self-propelled X-RAYS systems
-900 from YEDDE (Public Revenue Research and Assurance Service).

But it is not only the number of checks, but also their quality, as AADE employs technology to maximize the result of its efforts.

The famous software is expected to be activated in May “CHECK live” which enables the auditor carrying out an on-site audit to have access to the tax profile of the audited person with his tablet, to cross-check data on the spot and to issue the note with the findings of the audit on the spot.

If nothing else, AADE operators are expected to have a lot of work since the plan foresees making 80,000 calls to taxpayers. Through them, taxpayers will be informed in the event that they create overdue debts for the first time, but small debtors will also be informed about debts from earlier years.

Starting this year, AADE is expected to activate an early warning system for taxpayers who have settled their debts and are at risk of losing the settlement.

Among the provisions of the plan are:

-The issuance of TINs for approximately 1 million minor children by the end of the year without prior application by their parents
-The release of bank accounts of consistent taxpayers
-The digital issue of tax information even in cases of debt with withholding
-The automatic update of E9 for all declarations submitted through myProperty
– Creation of a real estate register which will be linked to the Land Registry
-Quarterly informing deceased heirs about their possible obligations
– The detection of undeclared income from short-term leases of natural persons
-The application of mobile devices for the control of traffic signs and the removal of immobility
-The mobile application through which access to AADE services will be achieved
-The electronic monitoring mechanism of the supply chain of tobacco products
