Citizens and businesses can digitally receive the single registration certificate issued by the AADE customs authorities for imported new or used vehicles.

Interested parties, in particular importers, agents and handling companies have the opportunity, through gov.gr and with codes Taxisnet, to print the Digital Vehicle Registration Certificate bearing a unique verification identifier, at any stage of the process. The path followed is: Property and Tax/Vehicles/Vehicle Classification.

According to AADEwith the new digital vehicle classification process:

-Transparency is enhanced with a systematic sequence of checks, interoperability of systems without human intervention and graded access of all involved to the necessary elements.

– The conditions and restrictions for special cases, such as vehicles with multiple children or the disabled, are automatically checked.

– The presentation of four supporting documents (registration certificate, certificate of conformity, vehicle type approval, sales invoices) is abolished.

At the same time, the specific digital services make the environmental footprint even smaller, as more than 800,000 documents for vehicle registration are printed and circulated every year, while in 2022 alone the vehicles registered were almost 290,000.

AADE collaborated closely with the general secretariat of Digital Governance and Process Simplification for the implementation of the intergovernmental action. The digital classification of vehicles is part of the National Program for Simplifying Procedures and the programmatic agreement between the Ministries of Digital Governance and Infrastructure & Transport, for the administrative and digital upgrade of services.
