Seventy euros gross horizontal increase and increases in allowances – What is foreseen by category

All interventions in the payroll of civil servants operate cumulatively in the salaries of the employees, they are not mutually exclusive nor are they one condition of the other.
1,663,663 civil servants – regardless of educational level, position in the organizational chart, marital status, seniority – will receive a horizontal increase of €70 gross:
– A newly hired person with a university education will reach €1192 from €1062.
– A technical education employee with 32 years of service will see his basic salary at €1987 from €1917.
2. Family benefits are increased by €20 for one child, €50 for 2-4 children and €70 for each additional child.
– A University Education employee with 10 years of service and 2 children, will see an increase of €120 – together with the horizontal one – and will reach €1577 from €1457.
– Newly hired Compulsory education with 1 child, from €850 will rise to €940.
3. All liability allowances in any sector of the Government are increased by 30%. Thus, the salaries of the department head increase by €87, the Deputy Director €105, the Director €135 and the General Manager €300. Based on these allowances, they are adjusted as follows:

4. Increase in special conditions allowance. It’s about uniforms. For singles: €55 to €70
For married couples with children: €115 to €130
5. Border allowance increase of 30%. It concerns approximately 21,000 members of the armed forces, the Coast Guard, the Police and the Fire Brigade, and from €100 it goes to €130.
6. University salary increase: This particular category of approximately 12,500 beneficiaries will receive significantly higher increases as they are retroactive from October 2022 in implementation of court decisions. On average the increases are at 10%, 5% from the increase in the basic salary and the integration of the reinstatement of the library allowance which ranges from €100 to €200 depending on the educational level:
-A teacher with 30 years of service and 2 children will see his earnings increase from €3,592 to €4,063, an increase of 13.1%
– An assistant with 20 years of service and 1 child will have an increase from €2,267 to €2,597.
7. Increase in overnight accommodation costs.
For supervisors: €80 to €100 for Athens
€104 to €130 for Thessaloniki-islands
For employees: €60 to €80 for Athens
€78 to €104 for Thessaloniki-islands
8. Increase of mileage compensation by 33% from €0.15 to €0.20/kilometer.
The average annual benefit for a civil servant from the interventions of the bill amounts to €800 net, an increase of 6.5%.
However, if the interventions implemented since the beginning of the year such as the abolition of the solidarity levy are added, then the net benefit amounts to €1476 or an increase of 10.5%.
