Caixa Tem releases consultation for PIS 2022 allowance

Caixa Econômica Federal released this Tuesday (1st) the consultation of the values ​​of the PIS (Social Integration Program) salary allowance for workers who have a birthday from January to June through the Caixa Tem and Caixa Trabalhador apps. For those born from July to December, consultations through these applications will be released at the end of the month or beginning of March, informed the Caixa.

Workers born in any month can now check if they are entitled to the 2022 salary bonus and the amount through the federal government’s Digital Work Card application and by calling 158.

The PIS salary bonus is intended for workers in the private sector and begins to be paid next Monday (8) by Caixa, according to the employee’s month of birth.

On February 15th, public servants enrolled in Pasep (Program for the Formation of Public Servants’ Assets) begin to receive payments. The consultation of the benefit of these workers can be carried out on the Banco do Brasil website. In total, R$ 21.8 billion will be paid in bonuses to around 23 million workers in the country.​

How to make an inquiry at Caixa Tem

• Download or update the app for free from the Google app store (for phones with Android OS) or Apple (iOS system)
• Enter your CPF and password to access Caixa services to log in; if it is the first access, you will need to register
• Click “I’m not a robot”
• In the list of available services, click on “Abono Salarial”; it is possible to consult values ​​and move existing balances in the application

• Click “Access”
• Enter your CPF and click on “Next”; if it is the first access, it will be necessary to register the CPF
• Inform your password

Consultation is available for those born from January to June. In the Caixa Trabalhador application it is also possible to consult the payment calendar and simulate the amount of the salary bonus, if it is not yet available. To do this, you need to click on “Allowance Calculator”, in the lower right corner of the screen.

How to access the query in the Digital Work Card application

• Install the official Digital Work Card application (if you already have it, you will need to update it)
• Access the system with your CPF number and gov.br password. If it’s your first time, register
• Click on the “Benefits” icon in the lower right corner
• In “Salary Allowance”, it will appear if you are qualified or not

how much will be paid

The amount of the salary allowance changes according to the number of months worked in 2020, the reference year for payments made this year. If the beneficiary worked all year 2020, he will receive a minimum wage, which in 2022 is R$1,212. If you worked one month, you will receive R$ 101. The salary bonus is one of the benefits linked to the value of the minimum wage.

The government will also pay the old salary bonus, referring to 2019, for those who did not withdraw the money within the deadline until June 2021. A total of R$ 208 million is forgotten and can be withdrawn by 320 thousand workers, on the same calendar dates of 2022 releases.

Who is eligible for the 2022 allowance?

To be eligible to receive the allowance in 2022, the year in which payment will be made in relation to work performed in 2020, the following requirements must be met:

• Be registered in the PIS/Pasep program or in the Cnis for at least five years — that is, the first formal job must have taken place in 2015 or earlier
• Have worked for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, with a formal contract in 2020, for employers who contribute to PIS or Pasep
• Have received up to two average minimum wages of monthly remuneration in the period worked, which correspond to R$ 2,090, considering the minimum wage of R$ 1,045 in force in 2020
• Have your data reported by the employer (legal entity or government) correctly in Rais or eSocial of the base year considered for calculation (2020)

Who is not entitled to the salary bonus

• domestic servant;
• rural workers employed by individuals;
• urban workers employed by individuals;
• workers employed by a natural person equivalent to a legal entity
