Tomorrow, Tuesday 24 October 2023, at 14:00, the deadline for submitting applications to participate in the digital and green skills upgrading program of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) “I put my future in a program” ends.

Since Wednesday, October 18, 2023, when the platform was activated, more than 42,000 applications have been submitted for the 30,000 available positions.

Participation in the program will be strictly prioritized, based on submitted applications, and a register of runners-up will be created.

The program is implemented, within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”, with the funding of the European Union -NextGenerationEU and aims to link training with the needs of the labor market and to strengthen the employability of the unemployed for the fastest labor market their reintegration, in the context of the digital and green transition of the economy.

Each trainee will attend a theoretical training program, with a total duration of up to 200 hours. After completing the training, the beneficiaries will participate in knowledge and skills certification exams by independent bodies and, those who succeed, will receive the full training allowance, amounting to up to 1,000 euros (5 euros per hour of training). Those who meet the conditions for participation will be added to the register of beneficiaries and will be able to choose the training program they wish to attend from the list of programs offered. As stated in a related announcement, with a total budget of 301.5 million euros, the action to train the unemployed is the largest continuing professional training action that has ever been implemented in the country.
