FGV students who disagreed with the school’s decision to postpone the start of face-to-face classes to March 14 will take the complaint to the institution’s board to press for a return.
Last week, the school announced that it will maintain online activities at the beginning of the year, but the news was not well received among students, who are now protesting and asking for a dialogue with the direction to better discuss the matter.
For Gabriel Domingues, president of DAGV, which represents students from business and economics schools in São Paulo, there should have been some preparation for hybrid classes, which would give an alternative, at this time of the pandemic, to those who prefer to study remotely or not.
“We have a meeting this Tuesday (8) with the board of FGV. We are going to be very incisive talking about the attitude of the students and bringing up the issue of returning to face-to-face meetings”, says Domingues.
According to him, there was also a meeting of the DAGV with other student entities of FGV in São Paulo and Rio to prepare a joint note demanding the return to the institution’s face-to-face activities.
