New First Aid Payments were held yesterday towards them affected by the floods that occurred in early September in Thessaly, but also in other affected areas. In particular, on Thursday, 1,514,753 euros were credited to citizens’ bank accounts.
Particularly, on Thursday, 254,570 euros were paid to 70 natural persons to deal with basic living needs and simple repair work and/or the replacement of household goods in areas affected by the September floods. These are payments that resulted from the checks made by the officers of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid on the applications submitted to the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr.
Alongside, payments of 674,183 euros were made to 118 beneficiaries of first aid against housing assistance and payments of 586,000 euros to 224 businesses as first aid against the subsidy of businesses affected by the floods, which include livestock units and agricultural holdings.
Cumulatively, therefore, until today, 139.18 million euros have been paid to 40,181 flood victims, who have been affected by the unprecedented flooding phenomenon that hit Thessaly, but also other areas.
Finally, it is recalled that the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr, has reopened and will remain open until January 12, 2024, while it is noted that from January 5, 2024 for those who submit or amend their application for first aid against housing allowance or compensation for household goods, the declaration of real estate data submitted by December 21, 2023 will be taken into account.
