The Independent Public Revenue Authority announced the provision of additional FIM and POS terminal connection time to 7,600 businesses. The companies in question have systems which, based on the information received from the Association of Importers of Cash Systems Manufacturers (SEKT) and from the Providers of Payment Instruments (NSPs), are incompatible with each other, so that they proceed with the immediate replacement, either of FIM, or of the POS terminal.
The additional time is provided, as AADE notes, as the specific companies, although they complied with their obligations and met the relevant conditions for successful interconnection, having terminals, which are included in the Declarations of Compliance of the Providers (NSPs/Acquirers) and upgraded FIMs with technical capability connection, in the end they failed to connect through no fault of their own, due to a technical failure of one of their devices.
In particular, by decision of the Governor of AADE, Giorgos Pitsilis, the interconnection deadline for these businesses is extended until June 10, 2024, so that they can proceed, without the risk of sanctions, to supply a cash system or Payment Instrument, the combination of which will ensures their ability to connect to legally receive card payments from their business.
These businesses have already received a relevant e-mail from AADE, with which they are informed about the relevant extension of the interconnection and the possibility of being informed by the Table of readiness for interconnection of POS models with types of cash registers, which is posted on the website of AADE, at https://www.aade.gr/syndyasmoi-tameiakon-mihanon-pos. On this website, they can see the combinations of cash register and POS terminal, which are successfully connected, so that they can immediately take the necessary actions for the supply of the appropriate and ready cash register system with the Payment Instrument, which they have, or vice versa, depending on their choice.
