Coca-Cola Brasil determined this Tuesday (22) that it will pursue a goal to increase racial diversity in the company.
The idea is to reach 2030 with 30% of blacks in leadership positions in Brazil. The company defines leadership positions from supervisors and above, which currently account for 14% of black professionals.
The target also covers the general staff of employees in the country, which should increase from 30% today to 45%, according to the company’s commitment.
Leila Luz, manager of diversity and inclusion at Coca-Cola, says that the look at diversity must go beyond the company’s borders.
“By having 30% of our employees in leadership positions by 2030, in an organization like Coca-Cola, we also want to influence our value chain, like bottlers and other companies,” says Luz.
“Most informal entrepreneurs in Brazil today are black people, and what needs to be done to accelerate these entrepreneurs, so that they can provide for us and for other organizations? ?”, it says.
