Twenty Greek companies participated in the seventh China Import Expo (7th CIIE), held in Shanghai between November 5 and 10, 2024.

The national participation was organized by the Hellenic Investment and Foreign Trade Company (Enterprise Greece), ensuring the presence of Greek companies in a national stand and a sectoral stand of the food and agricultural products section.

As stated in an announcement, the consul general of Greece in Shanghai, George Partheniou, in an interview with CGTN, emphasized: “Greece has actively participated in CIIE since the first event and will continue to do so in the future. This year, Greece, through the Hellenic Investment & Foreign Trade Company (Enterprise Greece), has set up two stands: a national stand and a branch stand. Marking its seventh appearance, Greece aims to continuously promote Greek products to the Chinese public, and, moreover, plans to maintain this tradition of participation.”

For his part, the managing director of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Yiannopoulos, in his statement, said: “Greece’s participation in the China International Import Exhibition (CIIE) strategically strengthens the presence of Greek products in one of the largest and most demanding markets worldwide. Today, with China’s population reaching 1.4 billion and the middle class continuing to grow, there is a strong demand for high-quality and value-added products, which offers us unique opportunities to reach out and build strong business relationships. Enterprise Greece, with the participation of 20 Greek companies in two key stands at CIIE, showcases the qualitative and comparative advantages of our country in sectors such as food and agricultural products. The growing trust of Chinese consumers in branded and quality products from abroad, make the Chinese market an attractive market for Greek production.

Enterprise Greece is committed to continuing to support Greek businesses in their efforts to expand into foreign markets, offering not only excellent products, but also strengthening the image of our country.”
