November 30 is approaching and the deadline for submitting declarations to the Land Registry is in the final stretch. Property owners now have the opportunity to easily and quickly secure their rights and property.

As stated in the relevant announcement, those who have not yet submitted their declaration to the Land Registry are invited to do so immediately. With a few simple steps, they can secure their real estate and protect their rights.

The declaration can be submitted either electronically at dilosi.ktimatologio.gr (for Crete – Corfu – Thesprotia), or at maps.ktimatologio.gr and at the Land Registry Offices for all areas, the deadline being 30/11/24.

Those who do not submit the declaration by the deadlinemay face difficulties in the future, such as delays and additional costs. For any transfer after the expiry of the deadline, in the event that their property appears as “unknown owner” in the cadastral database, extrajudicial or even judicial actions will be required.

The completion of the Cadastre is a national priority. The emblematic project, which has been pending for over 3 decades, is progressing so that by 2025 the country will have a modern mechanism for recording and securing the immovable property of every citizen.

The percentage of land registration has jumped as it has increased to 52% today and is expected to exceed 75% by the end of February 2025.
