Intracom Telecom is proceeding with an investment of a total of 45 million euros for the creation of production facilities for high-tech products in Kozani. As stated in a related announcement, the construction of the unit will begin in 2025 and is expected to be completed within two years.

This project is part of the Greek Government’s Just Transition Program, which aims to strengthen entrepreneurship and economic development in the country’s peripheral regions and is another strategic milestone for the Greek technological force in its continuous efforts to strengthen its position in the global market.

The new unit will be built on a privately-owned area of 71,457 sq.m., with building facilities covering 18,637 sq.m., and which will be equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, constituting another production unit of the Group to be added to those in Romania and of Italy. With the aim of reducing the environmental footprint, 20% of the facilities’ energy needs will be covered through solar systems.

The unit will focus on the production of high-tech products for the implementation of wireless networks. These advanced radio systems are developed in the company’s Research & Development centers in Greece, supporting the creation of modern 5G/6G networks, contributing significantly to the digital economy of Greece and Europe.
