Retrospective increases are calculated, based on increased replacement rates, for policyholders with more than 30 years of insurance
The payment will be made today retroactive amounts to approx 23,000 pensioners of the private and public sector, who receive more than one major pensions.
Beneficiaries include retirees who receive:
– old age and death pensions,
– two old-age pensions.
As stated by e-EFKA in his announcement, the payment concerns pensions issued before the implementation of Law 4387/2016, while retroactive increases are calculated, based on the increased replacement rates, introduced by Law 4670/2020 for insured persons with more than 30 years of insurance.
Basic payment details
Retrospective period: October 2019-October 2023.
Total payment amount: About 6,500,000 euros.
Average amount per beneficiary: 280.73 euros.
Maximum amount: 11,902 euros.
For 5,838 pensioners who have passed away, the amounts will be given to their legal heirs, according to the prescribed procedures.
As pointed out in the announcement, this payment reflects the commitment to justice and financial rehabilitation of pensioners, who are entitled to increased salaries, while strengthening the transparency and solvency of the insurance system.
