The Bank of Greece will publish on its website data and information submitted by credit and financial institutions
Twice a month will be posted by TtE data interest rates on deposits – loans and commissions of all banks as provided for in Acts of the Governor of the Bank Giannis Stournaras.
The Bank of Greece proceeded to strengthen the framework for providing information to the trading public and the general transparency of the terms of banking transactions by issuing two new Acts of the Executive Committee, 237/2/25.11.2024 and 237/3/25.11.2024.
In accordance with the Acts in question, the Bank of Greece will publish on its website data and information submitted by credit and financial institutions regarding:
• deposit rates,
• mortgage and consumer credit interest rates, including credit cards, and the fees and charges they charge for such loans, and
• the fees, commissions and service fees associated with payment accounts.
The first posting of said data and information, with a reference date of December 31, 2024, will take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
By publishing these data, the valid and uninterrupted information of traders is enhanced, providing them with readily available, complete, clear and comparable information about the charges and interest rates of financial institutions.
