The results of the evaluation of the investment projects submitted in the context of the relevant invitations of the Just Development Transition Program 2021-2027 were announced by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, together with the Commander of the Special Service for Just Development Transition, Pelopida Kalliri.
Specifically, the following were announced:
- 79 investment projects from very small and small businesses, in the de minimis regime, that received approval for financing, with a total eligible budget of 6.5 million. euros, of which 4.6 million will be the grant given by the Just Development Transition Program 2021-2027.
- 18 investment projects from small and medium enterprises, which received approval for financing, with a total eligible budget of 72.7 million. euros, of which 48.8 million will be the grant given by the Just Development Transition Program 2021-2027.
- 3 investment projects from large companies, which received approval for financing, with a total eligible budget of 65.2 million. euros, of which 32.6 million will be the grant given by the Just Development Transition Program 2021-2027.
The Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, underlined: “The 100 investment projects, amounting to 144 million euros, for the Regional Unit of Florina within the framework of the Just Development Transition Program 2021-2027, announced today, creating 592 new jobs, are the best evidence for the practical implementation and for the measurable result of the Government’s policy for the affected areas from the country’s energy transition. At the same time, they signal the interest that exists within the investment community for the establishment of new businesses and for the further development of existing ones in the region and in the wider Region of Western Macedonia. We continue with the same determination, the implementation of our commitments with the aim of creating more jobs, mainly for young women and for young people so that they can stay and create in their place».
The Commander of the Special Just Development Transition Service, Pelopidas Kalliris, emphasized: “We announced today the approval of 100 investment projects, with a total budget of approximately 144 million. euros, concerning all categories of businesses in the area of ​​Florina. This money will begin to flow into the region’s real economy by 2025, changing its development profile towards more modern standards and production sectors.”
The Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, accompanied by the Commander of the Special Service for Just Development Transition, visited two industries and a winery in the area, whose investment plans were positively evaluated for funding.
