“In less than 90 days, a record time for EFKA data and without arrears, the first pensions were issued by certified accountants and lawyers, which began to be gradually included in the award process by the end of 2021,” according to a ministry statement. Labor and Social Affairs.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakistoday held a teleconference with certified accountants and lawyers and the respective insured to whom the first pensions were issued, through this new system.
As noted in the announcement, “in the discussion that followed, both the certified and the new retirees agreed that the process of assigning an accountant or a lawyer to issue the main pension:
– is an easy and citizen-friendly process, as it starts through the electronic submission of the main pension application on the EFKA website, where it selects the certified person who will “run” the retirement file,
– is now the fastest process in EFKA, to issue a pension in less than 90 days. In fact, there were retirement decisions issued within 60 days or even within 45 days,
– the certified provide at all stages of the granting of the pension immediate and valid information to the waiting retirees, while solving any problems that may arise (lack of supporting documents, consultations with EFKA employees, etc.),
“Pensions are issued without errors, as there are multiple levels of control by both themselves and the heads of the pension departments.”
The insured who participated in the teleconference, came from areas of the Region (Thessaloniki, Orestiada, Igoumenitsa, Ioannina and Kastoria) and will receive their pension at the end of March (April pensions). 648 pension cases have already been undertaken by certified persons from all over Greece and new editions of pensions are expected in the coming days.
At the same time, the expansion of the categories of insured persons that can be addressed to certified persons is underway, as today it concerns only the insured persons of the IKA, the OAEE and the OGA.
During the teleconference, Mr. Hatzidakis stressed that the institution of certified accountants and lawyers proves in practice that it produces results and gradually becomes part of the solution to the problem of outstanding pensions “and the proof in this regard is that already, in less than 90 days, the first pensions were issued by certified professionals and at the end of March retirees will see the amounts in their accounts. A measure that many rushed to condemn in its infancy as a failure, today is the fastest way to get your pension from EFKA and in fact in an easy, friendly and organized way, without hassle and indignation. The measure of the certified is an institution that will remain in EFKA and will run much faster very soon, when all the certified, but also the employees, are fully acquainted with this new process. At the same time, we are launching the expansion of the categories of insured who will be able to address the certified and, at the same time, we are listening to the difficulties that the certified carry over in their cooperation with the EFKA structures and we are facing them “, noted the Minister of Labor.
In its announcement, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs reminds that the certified accountants and lawyers amount to 458 today, have emerged through rigorous examinations conducted by EFKA and correspond to about 70% of all the permanent rapporteurs of the Organization. In the next period, the platform for submitting applications will be opened by additional accountants and lawyers, who did not participate in the previous certification phases.
