Panel SA: Doria invites Ukrainian to last meeting with secretary in the government of SP

by

In the schedule of appointments by Governor João Doria (PSDB-SP) before leaving Palácio dos Bandeirantes to continue the presidential campaign, the agenda for the secretariat meeting on Monday (28), which will be the last for the toucan in office, has the presence of the honorary consul of Ukraine in São Paulo, Jorge Rybka.

All secretaries will wear the Ukrainian flag on their lapel.

According to Doria’s advisers, the meeting is a gesture of solidarity with the Ukrainian people and reinforces the ties of the state of São Paulo with the country.

At a time when Doria is still looking to strengthen his name for the presidential race, the tribute to Ukrainians is also seen as another counterpoint to his political enemy Jair Bolsonaro.

The president expressed solidarity with Russia days before Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine and criticized the unilateral sanctions imposed on Moscow after the outbreak of the conflict.
