The budget for the support of small and medium -sized tourism business projects through the NSRF has increased to EUR 375 million, following the high interest recorded throughout the country.
In particular, by decision of the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanassis, the budget for the submission of funding requests to the action “Enhance the establishment and operation of new tourist small and medium-sized enterprises” of the “Competitiveness” program 2021-2027.
Specifically, the budget available from EUR 250 million is now EUR 375 million, ie 150% compared to the original provision.
The increase in resources available, according to the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, is in response to the extremely high demand through the applications. This development implies the integration of more beneficiaries into the action and consequently the support of more investment projects into one of the most neuralgic and dynamic sectors of the Greek economy, tourism.
It is noted that 6,669 applications for funding throughout the territory have been filed.
