INSS releases consultation to the 13th; see calendar and how to know value

Retirees, pensioners and beneficiaries of INSS (National Social Security Institute) aid can now check how much they will receive in the first installment of the 13th salary, which starts to be paid from April 25th.

The consultation of the value is made through the application or website Meu INSS and, since this Thursday (14), it is available to all policyholders. The advance of the 13th will fall into the account together with the monthly benefit for the month of April. The calendar runs from April 25th to May 6th. Payment is made at the end of the benefit number, without considering the check digit.

The Christmas bonus is paid in two installments, in the middle of the year and at the end of the year, but has been advanced since 2020, as a strategy to reduce the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, the government also adopted the advance, as it does now, the year in which President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) intends to run for reelection.

How to make the query?

To know how much you will receive from the 13th, of monthly benefit and to know on what exact day the money should fall into the account, the retiree needs to have a password to access My INSS.

In a note, the institute reported that “the payment statement for the 13th and the benefit is now available to all policyholders as the sheet has already been generated and the amounts made available”. According to the agency, it is still not possible to see the amount provisioned in the bank account.

1. Access www.meu.inss.gov.br
2. On the homepage, go to “Entrar com gov.br”
3. Then, enter the CPF and click on “Continue”
4. On the next page, enter the password and click “Login”
5. On the home page, click on “Payment Statement”
6. Two amounts will appear: those that were paid in March, whose status will be as “Paid”, and those that will be paid in April
7. Click on the arrow next to the April payment and the statement will open
8. The insured can consult: the benefit amount (code 101), the amount of the 13th salary (code 104), payroll loan, if any, necessary rounding, agency where the benefit is linked and the date on which the amount will be available

Payment will start on the 25th

In all, 31.6 million INSS beneficiaries are entitled to the 13th. Currently, the institute pays benefits to 36 million citizens, but not all of them receive the Christmas bonus.

According to the calendar, first those insured who earn a minimum wage (R$ 1,1212) will have the benefit, then it is the turn of those who earn values ​​above the minimum up to the ceiling, of R$ 7,087.22 this year.

Second installment will be released between May 25th and June 6th

The second installment of the 13th will also be paid in advance, starting on May 25, together with the benefit for the month. The order of payment is the same: it occurs according to the final number of the benefit, without the digit, and the insured who receive the minimum wage are paid first, and then those who earn more.

The anticipation of the payment of the 13th was released by means of a decree signed by Bolsonaro on March 17. The measure is part of the Income and Opportunity Program, which also includes expansion in the payroll loan margin and creation of a loan for Auxílio Brasil and BPC.

In all, around R$ 56.7 billion will be injected into the economy, but there is no budgetary impact, as the amounts were expected to be paid anyway this year.

Anticipation began in the early 2000s

Anticipation has always been a claim by retirees, which has meant that, since 2006, the release of the first has taken place in the first semester, always by means of a presidential decree. Lula, Dilma, Temer and Bolsonaro signed decrees with the advance.

In 2019, however, the law that regulated the pension reform guaranteed the anticipation of the first installment of the benefit always in June without any need for a decree. The second installment, however, will continue to be paid in the second half of the year, together with the November benefit.

But in 2020 and 2021, the pandemic led to payment still in the first half. Last year, the 13th was paid to 30.7 million beneficiaries, injecting R$ 23.7 billion into the economy in each payment batch.
