ID_BR (Instituto Identidades do Brasil) will launch on Monday (25), with the support of B3, the public notice for the program Professores Pelo Sim à Igualdade Racial to select experiences of anti-racist education registered by educators from public or private schools. elementary and middle.
The public notice is part of the project to offer racial literacy to teachers and other education professionals for two years and map the anti-racist didactic actions already implemented in the country, promoting a debate on methodologies and a referenced material in line with federal legislation that provides for the teaching of history. and Afro-Brazilian and indigenous culture in schools.
Last year, ID_BR already developed a racial literacy project with around 60 teachers from the public school system in São Paulo, which led to the search for partnerships with education departments to expand its reach.
The institute also signed an agreement with the secretary of Rio Grande do Sul to support the implementation of the Anti-Racist Education Program, launched in March.
The goal is to reach 10,000 educators this year and 25,000 by 2023.
